The Department of Adult Education and Counselling Psychology houses several popular certificate programs that are complementary to our graduate program offerings. They draw on our departments' expertise in the fields of Adult Education, Community Development and Counselling Psychology, allowing the general public to engage in learning about these areas without applying to a graduate degree.

Professional Certificate Program:

Our professional certificate program in CBT draws on department expertise but runs independently from the graduate degree curriculum. This program provides specific training in CBT and is well-designed and practical. Participants take modules instead of classes, which tend to be shorter and are available more frequently throughout the year. For more information see Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Please note that entry into either stream of certificate program does not qualify participants for admission into graduate degree programs. However, those with appropriate academic qualifications often choose to apply for a graduate program after taking one of our certificates, while others already enrolled in a graduate program may participate in a certificate program as a follow-up to their degree.
